Help! Iâ™m Having Second Thoughts about My Wedding Dress!
Welcome to Wed-U: Planning your wedding, your
way!
Today's question comes from Kate in Newcastle,
Australia. And Kate asks:
Q: I purchased my wedding dress last month
but canâ™t help but wonder if I chose the
right one. Itâ™s still MONTHS until it arrives; should I consider cancelling my order and looking
for something I feel better about?
A: Hi Kayte! I need you to do something for
me ok? Throw away any bridal magazine in your
vicinity. Delete any wedding dress Pins. And
stop looking at wedding dresses! I know it
can be hard when youâ™re not able to touch and try
on your dress whenever you like, but try to
think back to that initial feeling you got at the bridal
boutique when you first tried the dress on.
Or how excited you were when you made the decision
to purchase it! You found â˜the oneâ™ and
you purchased the perfect dress. Donâ™t doubt
your decision!
What you really need is a distraction; so
start thinking about your accessories. Consider
any embellishments or alterations you'd like to
make to the dress like adding a belt or even some sleeves.
And did you choose a veil already? If not,
consider your other options like hats, fascinators,
or even a flower crown. And donâ™t forget about your
shoes, and your jewelry, and your lingerie.
Youâ™ve got plenty of decisions to make when it comes
to your wedding day look!
